Marketing Manager to McDonald’s

We are now looking for a Marketing Manager to maximize marketing and drive brand love through great campaigns and creative content with the customer at heart! In this role you will work across the Nordic region, covering Sweden, Norway, Denmark & Finland.
About the role
To succeed in this role, you demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to influence key stakeholders in Food Folk and McDonald’s. You develop effective campaigns that can easily be scaled across markets and channels for driving brand love. You also drive strategy and ensure the team sees the link between local/functional KPIs and overall business success.
Main areas of responsibility
Marketing & Brand strategy
- Support in developing and driving the Marketing & Brand Strategy for McDonald’s in the Nordics.
- Contribute to the regional marketing plan.
Management of Global and Regional campaigns
- Point of contact for the global McDonald's organization related to global marketing initiatives.
- Oversee ongoing campaign metrics to optimize KPIs across media mix
- Brief, create and manage regional and global campaigns from planning to activation
- Secure creative material across all touch points and platform together with Media & CX functions
- Setting up and oversee campaign process with creative agency
- Project budget management with input from local Market Activation Teams
Creative agency relationship
- Responsibility for creative agency collaboration, processes, and day-to-day projects

In addition to working closely with McDonald's globally, we have approx. 200 Nordic colleagues in the Food Folk organization. Around half work locally in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, or Finland, while the rest work at a regional level. In this position you will be based in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen or Helsinki. You will be a part of the marketing department and report to Marketing & Brand Strategy Director.
Your background
- Relevant academic degree i.e., Marketing, Business or similar
- 8+ years of experience working within marketing
- Vast experience of working with campaign planning, execution and media investments.
- Proven management and leadership skills
- Used to lead big multi campaigns with ownership of ATL, BTL, social, bought, owned, and earned channels
- Successfully lead and work with agency teams
- Fluent in English and in one of the Nordic languages

- Problem solving: seek out data and expert input to help in understanding underlying issues. Provide clear and rational justification for decisions.
Good to know
This is a permanent position with the desired start as soon as possible. Some travel within the Nordic region will occur. Location: One of McDonald’s Nordic Head Offices (Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen or Helsinki).

Food Folk Group owns the licensee rights for McDonald’s in the Nordics since 2017 and will join the journey to develop McDonald’s. The Nordic headquarter organization consists of around 220 colleagues. The organization is built on a matrix structure, where about half of the employees are working locally in one of their four markets and half are working in Nordic functions.
